Three games in one day./Tři zápasy v řadě.

Based on WCF decision to move the draw Nr. 7 to the very end of the championship schedule a unique opportunity appeared. Czech women will be the first ladies team ever playing three championship games in one day with almost no break for rest, catering or recovery. It will happen this Friday during the World Women Curling Championship which takes place within the “Calgary Curling Bubble”. One game might take more than four hours including transportation from the hotel to the arena and back, the warm up, practice, ten-end game, extra end and stretching session. The whole three-game action contains almost two tons of granite thrown per player, roughly four kilometres of sweeping per sweeper. It means more than twelve hours of hard work in total. Friday games of the Czech team will be certainly monitored by the WCF officials, health authorities, athlete commission members, umpires and certainly players themselves. Information obtained thanks to the Czech team could help to the World Curling Federation build new standards for the future. Světová curlingová federace rozhodla o přesunu hracího kola číslo sedm na úplný konec šampionátu, a tím otevřela mimořádnou příležitost. České reprezentantky budou prvním ženským týmem vůbec, který odehraje tři mistrovské zápasy v jednom dni prakticky bez možnosti odpočinku, občerstvení či regenerace. Dojde k tomu tento pátek v průběhu Mistrovství světa žen v curlingu 2021 v “curlingové bublině” v Calgary. Jeden zápas může trvat více než čtyři hodiny a zahrnuje dopravu z hotelu do haly a zpět, rozcvičení, předzápasový trénink na ledě, desetiendový zápas, extra end a pozápasové protažení. Tři utkání obsahují skoro dvě tuny odházených kamenů na hráče a pro jednoho metaře zhruba čtyři kilometry umetené dráhy. To vše dohromady je více než dvanáct hodin tvrdé práce. Páteční zápasy Češek budou jistě monitorovány Světovou curlingovou federací (WCF), zdravotníky, členy atletické komise, rozhodčími i samotnými hráčkami. Informace získané díky Českému týmu mohou pomoci WCF vystavět a upravit nové standardy pro budoucí šampionáty. «»
